At both the London Affiliate Conference and the International Gaming Expo coming up at the end of January, Bingo.com will be a partner of the Income Access booth. It will be a great chance for affiliates to come by and get to know a little bit more about one of our most valued partners.
Bingo.com is where almost 2 million people come to play bingo, chat, win big and take advantage of the mini-games and scratch cards. And their affiliate program is where affiliates go to take advantage of some of the best promotions available, customizable promotions and a flat 30% rev share commission structure.
Leading up to the conferences, we had an opportunity to sit down with Jason Williams, the VP of Business Development from Bingo.com, to find out a bit about how he got to where he is, where he’d like to be going and all about the importance of affiliates in the Bingo.com marketing strategy. We chatted about his job, some memories of IGE and LAC events gone past, and his experience with working with Income Access.
Income Access: What were some of your first jobs?
Jason Williams: I painted fences, washed cars and sold golf balls.
IA: How long have you been in this industry?
JW: I’ve been working in online gaming for 8 years.
IA: How did you first get involved?
JW: I was asked to bring to market a skill bingo product back in 2001.
IA: What do you most enjoy about your job?
JW: I enjoy working with software and the Internet in a competitive environment. It’s fun thinking of ways to improve the Bingo.com offering and excite our players.
IA: What have been your greatest successes?
JW: My greatest success at Bingo.com has been the SEO rankings we’ve been able to achieve over the years.
IA: How do affiliates fit in to your overall online marketing strategy?
JW: Affiliates represent one of the most important channels for Bingo.com. We see them as an integral part of our marketing strategy and, as such, we offer special affiliate promotions and provide them with all the tools they need to most effectively market our brand.
IA: What percentage of your overall customer acquisition do you aim to get from your affiliate program?
JW: Bingo.com targets 30% of our acquisition from affiliates. Affiliates represent a great opportunity for business growth and development for our company, and they are a very important part of our overall strategy.
IA: From your experience, what motivates affiliates to promote your brand more prominently?
JW: Our affiliates promote Bingo.com most effectively when they have an exclusive or unique promotion, which is something we provide on an ongoing basis.
IA: What do you enjoy most about working with Income Access?
JW: Income Access is professional in their handling of our account but friendly and personal on a daily basis. The people are the best thing about the organization, and they have really helped our business to create excellent relationships with our affiliates.
IA: Is this your first time at LAC or IGE?
JW: This is my 5th consecutive IGE.
IA: What is your fondest conference memory from past events?
JW: Almost winning a poker tournament in Stockholm.
Affiliates who are interested in finding out more about the Bingo.com affiliate program are encouraged to drop by and see us at the conferences. We’ll be at booth #5270 at the IGE from January 26 to 28 and at booths #82 and #83 from January 28 to 31 at the LAC.
See you there!
