Here at Income Access, we’re very proud of our inspirational leadership. So our entire team was stoked when our General Manager Tara Wilson won the SupportHER Award at Canadian Business Chicks' Women of Inspiration Gala last week.

Held at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre last Thursday, 20^th September, the 2018 Women of Inspiration Awards honoured businesswomen from across Canada who’ve made a major impact on their organization, their local community and the country’s business landscape.

Unfortunately, Tara was unable to attend the event in person. However, Mike Giannoumis, Senior Vice President of IT at Paysafe and a close friend and colleague of Tara’s, headed out west from Montreal for the ceremony. He was joined at the event by members of the team from Paysafe’s Calgary office. They were delighted to accept the SupportHER Award on Tara’s behalf from ‘Women of Inspiration’ founder and CEO Monica Kretschmer (see the photo, above).

Tara’s ‘SupportHER’ Award

A new category and special to this year’s Gala, the SupportHER Award recognizes Tara as a woman who has demonstrated significant thought leadership over the last 12 months. It also acknowledges her respect for diversity and inclusiveness in the Income Access workplace, and at Paysafe’s Montreal office, where Tara worked as VP of Operations for Payment Processing (Canada & UK) before joining us last October.

The SupportHER Award also honoured Tara’s qualities as a team player and as a mentor to many employees at both Income Access and across Paysafe Group. In addition, it recognizes her as a champion for the Group’s goals and global vision.

A Great First Year!

Tara’s Women of Inspiration Award was presented as she counts down to her first anniversary at Income Access next month. It’s been a great first year for Tara, with the company now firing on all cylinders from her energy and all the new initiatives she’s introduced over the last 12 months.

As a company, we’ve also signed some major deals, including partnering with Pennsylvania Lottery, Tote Ireland, Michigan Lottery, and Stoiximan. In addition, we won our fourth-straight EGR North America ‘Acquisition & Retention Partner of the Year’ Award back in June.
