Hello, ExCeL Centre! 4 Tips to Make the Most of Your Time at LAC and ICE

By On

The two biggest conferences of the year are just two short weeks away. This year, ICE Totally Gaming (ICE) and the London Affiliate Conference (LAC) are conveniently situated together at the ExCeL Centre in London, UK, and take place back-to-back from the 7th-9th and 9th-12th of February, respectively.

With a combined 30,000 operators, brokers and affiliates expected to attend both events over the course of the week, we know how overwhelming it can be to hit the conference floor on that first day. With that, our team of conference-attending veterans have put together four tips to help you make the most of your time in London.Tip #1: Plan in advanceIt seems tedious, but planning ahead goes a long way. Review the sessions guides at bothconferences or if you don’t have time, check out our blog on sessions not to miss here.

Book your meetings with key contacts in advance, as schedules can fill up quickly. Don’t be shy to reach out to contacts you do know to make introductions to those you’re looking to meet – now’s the best time to build connections!

Make sure you also keep a floor plan within reach so you know where to plan your meetings (and how much time you’ll need in between to get there!) And of course, don’t forget to stop by stand N6-330 at ICE or H10-B at LAC to say hi to the Income Access and Paysafe teams.Tip #2: Network with as many people as possibleThe foundation for networking is often spontaneous conversation. However, it never hurts to build a strategy in advance. This includes knowing which events to attend, and who will be there.

At the events last year, more than 25,000 attendees visited ICE Totally Gaming, while over 5,000 attended LAC, meaning there are endless opportunities to expand your network. The more conversations you have, the more industry insight and knowledge you will gain.

Don’t let the end of the events be the end of your relationships – make sure to exchange business cards or contact details to stay connected.Helpful tip: It can be a challenge remembering the dozens of people you meet. It never hurts to make notes on the business cards you receive to reference in your follow-up emails.Tip #3: Enjoy yourselfMake the most of your time at the conferences. Aside from checking out the latest slot machines, getting chased by zombies on the conference floor, or getting lost in the Novomatic booth, take the time to challenge yourself by setting personal goals.

• How many new connections can I make?

• How many new facts can I learn?

• How many affiliate deals can I negotiate?

Don’t forget that you are also in one of the world’s most iconic cities – set some time aside outside of seminars for enjoying the networking events organized outside of the ExCel Centre walls.Tip #4: Attend both eventsBoth events have much to offer the iGaming community. ICE Totally Gaming brings exposure to the latest products, technology and innovation in both brick-and-mortar and iGaming industries. It’s the best place to find out where the industry is heading.

LAC gives industry experts, operators and affiliates the opportunity to connect and share insights at the ground level. It’s the best place to discover the latest marketing trends and opportunities across new products and verticals.

So why not attend both?

The Income Access team will be located at Stand N6-330 for ICE Totally Gaming and participating inAffiliate Marketing in the USA: A Hidden Opportunityon 9th February.

Find the team at H10-B at LAC, and see VP of Business Development and Marketing Lee-Ann Johnstone join part of a panel discussion What’s Next for Your Business: Thinking Innovatively About the Growth and Management of an Affiliate Business at the LAC on 10th February.
