Charles Herisson (CH): Since I was a child, I would complete statistical analysis on the performance of football teams and players, so I decided to make a career out of it! I moved from Italy to London, where I then started working with some of the most famous professionals in the sports betting arena.

In 2010, I started working with Moneybookers (currently known as Skrill) as an affiliate, collaborating with Lorenzo Pellegrino. I’ll never forget our first meeting together. I have always valued building strong personal relationships with the people I work with, and with Lorenzo, we had something extraordinary. Working with Moneybookers, I was surprised about the massive potential of the affiliation markets, so I started my affiliate venture with a network of more than 150 gaming brands.

In May 2014, I invested in Betadvisor. I had previously been a happy customer of the company and an affiliate too, so I was excited by the opportunity. My current role at Betadvisor is CEO and I am a member of the board in many other companies in Europe and the Middle East as well. At the moment, I am also running three different charity programmes to help out the community during this uncertain time.IA: That’s very interesting. Now, can you tell us a bit about what it’s like working with you?CH: First and foremost, I thrive on cooperation and am at my very best under a harmonious working environment where I can support others and encourage their growth. I love seeing the people I work with develop and gain great satisfaction through helping them become better at what they do.

I would consider myself a big “team player” and I’m always looking to explore new and creative ideas. I am strong believer that fostering an environment of teamwork is a great way of turning ideas into action. I also strongly encourage independence and creative thinking – I have found that doing this is a great way of cultivating a space where people feel comfortable sharing ideas openly.

I thoroughly enjoy being able to use my creativity as an outlet for developing initiatives that hold a humanitarian focus, as this is something I hold close to my heart. I love to think about extraordinary ideas on how to make the world a better place and work hard to make them a reality.IA: You said you are a big advocate for humanitarianism. How does this translate into your work at Betadvisor? CH: I would say there is definitely a link between my desire to help and the values of Betadvisor. At Betadvisor, we want to prevent gambling addiction, foster safe gaming and develop a healthy culture of responsible gaming at the global level. We are continuously trying to expand our network of partnerships around the world with companies and individuals who share the same set of values we do. Along with all our stakeholders, we strive to create a better world.

We are big supporters of different charitable activities and we believe strongly in our social commitment built on global thinking and local action. We want to continue to collaborate with our partners to spread a healthy gaming culture.

By the end of 2020, we aim to start working with five new B2B partners to create new brands in the tipster niche and help them grow to become prominent affiliates or operators within their local markets. As always, we will also continue to provide our unwavering support to all charities, individuals and other companies interested in helping people.
